Day3 (Jan 7, 2017): Fly Lalibela -Axum
Fly to Axum and visiting the sites of Axum, including the famous obelisks (one that was recently erected after being returned from Italy) and the archeological museum, the Queen of Sheba’s Bath (which supplies water to Axum year-round), Ezana’senscription, King Kaleb’s tomb, King Bazen’s tomb, and the Queen of Sheba’s Palace. You can also visit the St. Mary of Zion church, where the Ark of the Covenant is kept. Men only are allowed to enter the old church. Unfortunately, no one (except one specially chosen guardian monk) is allowed to enter the chapel where the Ark is kept. O/n in Axum (hotel).
Day 4 (Jan 8, 2017). Axum- Mekelle.

Day 6(Jan 10,2017)
Afdera – Dodom 70km. visit the salt Mainers(local people are pumping the salt water and evaporating the water) near the lake, start let drive to Dodom (at the base of Erta Ale). Dodom is about 8.5km from Erta Ale and it takes about 3 hrs trekking. Early dinner around 17:00 and trek up to Ertale at 20:00 hours. Camels transport all the camping materials and some food (sleeping materials like light mattresses and water) to the rim of the volcano, where we spend the night watching the dramatic action of the boiling lava. Erta Ale ranks one of the most alluring and physically challenging natural attractions anywhere in Ethiopia. It is a shield volcano with a base diameter of 30 km and 1km square caldera at its summit. Erta Ale contains the world’s only permanent lava lake. Overnight on the top of the mountain. Day 8(Jan 12, 2017)
Morning tour Drive to Ragad (Asebo), the place where the
localities are mining salt. 1,200 km2 (460 sq mi) the Afar Depression is covered by salt, and salt Look the activity of breaking the salt from the ground, local people are cutting in to rectangular pieces and loading on camels. You drive ahead to Dallol and visit the difference landscape formed by volcanic activity; Dallol + Lake Assal + salt canon, camel caravans, follow up camel caravans and drive back to Hamedela and proceed to Mekele.
Day 9 (Jan13, 2017)
Fly Mekelle-Addis flight Arbaminch and drive for about 15km to Gughe hills to Chencha village to visit the famous Dorze tribes, unique tribes in Ethiopia for weaving and their typical house is made of bamboo and have Elephant face structure. In addition you will see the spectacular views of the twin lakes (Abaya and Chamo). Then proceed to Arbaminch
Day 10(Jan 14, 2017)

Early in the morning drive to Mago National Park to see the untouched and unique Mursi tribe, who leaves on the southern edge of the park? A Mursi woman quite famous in putting a lip plate on her lips, the big lip plate she has the more beautiful she is. After Lunch, we proceed to Turmi via Keyafer. Day 12(Jan 16,2017)
AM: Drive from Turmi to Omorate and cross the Omo River to visit the Dasanech tribe.
PM: Drive to the other side of the Omo river and visit the karo tribe.
Day 13(Jan 17, 2017)
After early breakfast we drive from Turmi to Arbaminch. On your way having a brief stop at Arbore, a small settlement of the Arbore tribe. The Arbores are settled in front of Lake Stephanie and at the Northern edge of Buska Mountain chain that extends 96Kms in the Weito Plains of the Omo Valley. These tribes are famous for their unique decoration on their body and massive Amounts of nickels on all married women, which is very colourful and impressive
Day 14(Jan 18,2017)
Full day Arba Minch.
AM: Drive through the scenic Nechisar or “white grass” park which sits astride the Rift Valley Lakes Chamo and Abaya. Although Nechisar is under some ecological stress due to the activity of local nomadic tribes, it is still a beautiful park off the beaten path for many tourists. Zebras, gazelles, and rare endemic birds are spotted here. Take a boat trip on Lake Chamo and view some of the largest crocodiles in the world sunning on the banks of the lake; hippopotami are also abundant.
